James F. Lamont, age 91, passed away on December 22, 2016 in Sandy, UT. He was born on September 15, 1925 in Salt Lake City to Robert M. Lamont and Lillie Peck. He married Earleen Walker on April 12, 1957 and together they had two children.
He served in WWII in the Navy Air Corp on PBY42 as a tail gunner and radioman. He enjoyed spending time with his family camping, fishing and doing puzzles and with his beloved Scottie dog.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother and sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, son; Grant Lamont, daughter; Karen (Bruce) Anderton, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 11:00am at Larkin Sunset Lawn 2350 E. 1300 S. in Salt Lake City, with a viewing starting at 10:00am prior to the service.
