Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister JoAnn Vreeken Zacherson passed peacefully on March 7th, 2014. She was born June 7th, 1940 to Dirk and Jennie Vreeken. On September 20th, 1971 she married Gordon Byron Zacherson. JoAnn graduated from South High School in 1958. She worked at the University of Utah hospital for twelve years. JoAnn loved to dance, crochet, knit, paint, scrapbook, and spend time with her family at "the Shack". She will be greatly missed.
JoAnn is survived by her husband, Gordon Byron Zacherson. Her seven children; Cheri (Dave) Hoggan, Ronalee (Todd) Ellis, Shelly (Mike) Rentmeister, Stephen Drew Richins, Gordon (Teri) Zacherson, J'Anne (Shaun) Lundquist and Brittnee Zacherson and a brother; Roger (Cheryl) Vreeken. She had ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father; Dirk, mother; Jennie, brother; Richard, son-in-law; Rick and granddaughter; Victoria-jo.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Larkin Sunset Garden, (1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, Ut.) The family will meet with friends from 12:30 to 1:45 PM prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Larkin Sunset Garden Cemetery.
