Our beloved Dad, William H. Finley, 87, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 in his Dammeron Valley, Utah home after a long battle with illness. He was born March 22, 1929 in South Bend, Indiana. He graduated from Hollywood High School, met and married the love of his life, Margret Alice Baber, April 15, 1950, she precedes him in death. They can now rest together.
Survived by sons, Marc (Shauna) and Matthew (Lois) Finley, Salt Lake City, 6 grandchildren, Anne Marie, Christopher (Kara) Finley, Sara (Gavin) Monsen, Bethann, Hannah and Ben Finley and 3 great grandchildren, Jordan and Dominic Koford and Keaton Finley.
Bill "The Silverfox" was a lifetime employee of General Motors that took him on an exciting journey from Los Angles to Detroit, Salt Lake City and Seattle where all that knew him respected him, his work ethic and devotion to the automotive industry and called him a true friend.
He loved to spend his spare time camping, boating and fishing, not catching. He always made time to help someone fix something and was the life of any party.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, Utah 84092 on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with a visitation from 1:00 ‚ 2:00 p.m. prior.
