Bruce Edward Nelson was a devoted husband and a wonderful father/grandfather. His top priority was loving his family, and ensuring we had everything we ever needed or wanted. He liked to keep his mind sharp with games like Chess and Go. He taught all of his kids to play those games but never "let" them win. If we won, we bested him for real. He enjoyed spending time in nature and instilling a love of nature into his kids. And he loved photography. He did the best he could with the wild pack of children he raised. And you know what, we all are successful, thriving adults. He succeeded in what he wanted to do and can rest peacefully knowing we will all be okay.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda Nelson; 7 children and their spouses Laura, Chris, Jeff (Tammy), Jason (Hitomi), Nathan (Leena), Andrew (Landis), and Edward (Kelly), 12 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. And probably many more to come.
We can all rest a little more soundly knowing he is no longer in pain. He passed where he wanted to, in his home, with his wife and his dog, Max.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.), Sandy, with a viewing beginning at 12:00 PM. Interment will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
