1943 ~ 2019

Sandra Reynolds Thelin of Pleasant Grove Utah passed away at the age of 75, on Monday, February 18, 2019.

Sandy was born September 6th, 1943 in Salt Lake City Utah, where she was raised by her loving parents, Dean and David Reynolds of West Jordan Utah. At the age of 7, her mother took her to weekly lessons with the areas best piano and organ teachers at what was known then as the McCune School of Music and Art. As a young woman, Sandy belonged to her school's music clubs. She accompanied herschool choirs for many years and grew to become a talented pianist. Shegraduated from Bingham High School in 1961.

Sandy met the love of her life, Glen Steven Thelin and they were married in the Salt Lake City Temple on June 4th, 1973. Together they raised 9 children.

Sandy enjoyed her long and successful career as a medical transcriptionist, where she developed and cherished many dear friendships. Sandy and Glen, or "Grammy and Papa" as they were so lovingly referred to by their grandchildren, enjoyed an adventurous and loving life together. One of their favorite getaways was to San Francisco, California. They lived together in Sandy UT, Sparks NV, Lawrence KS, and finally Colorado Springs CO, until Glen's death in 2007.

In retirement, Sandy relocated back to the Greater Salt Lake City area. She spent time enjoying the varied genres of the culturally diverse Northern Utah music scene. She attended many concerts, spent time with her family and visited with dear friends. As a member of the Grove Ninth Ward, Pleasant Grove Utah, she played the organ and piano for her church services, and served faithfully in many other positions throughout her life in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sandy was also able to realize her lifetime dream of playing the organ in the Mount Timpanogos Temple.

Sandy will be remembered for her kindness to all, devotedness to her beloved family, and culinary talent for delicious desserts. Her appreciation and talent for music has been passed down to several children and grandchildren. Sandy made sure to let those she loved know that she thought of them always. She had a habit of slipping simple tokens into ones hand, or into the mail; a piece of candy, hair ribbon, sticker, or trading card....She always had a way to make everyone feel important.

Sandy\s family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the members of the Grove Ninth Ward for their dedication and service, Alpine Care Center in Pleasant Grove, Community Nursing Services, Aspen Ridge in Orem Utah, and the many visitors who brought her much joy and comfort.
