Dorothea passed away on July 6, 2017 due to a long battle with breast cancer. She was born Oct. 3, 1932 to Wilhelm and Margarete Henkel in Freiberg, Germany. Dorothea married Karl Roscher in 1954 and was sealed in the Swiss Temple later.
She lived in Germany until she was 26 and then immigrated to America in 1958. She was a devout member of the German Speaking LDS ward. Dorothea served a mission and was Relief Society president for 22 years. Dorothea loved to cook and sew and her family was important to her.
She is survived by three daughters and one son; Margitta, Shirley, Steven and Patricia (Victor), along with six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Dorothea is preceded in death by her husband Karl, parents, brother;Alfons, son-in-law; John and grandson; (little) Victor.
A funeral service will be held on Tue., July 11, 2017 at 11 am at the Douglas ward, 721 S. 1200 E., Salt Lake City. Visitations will be held on Monday, from 6-8 pm at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 E. 1300 S., and from 9:30-10:30 am prior to services at the ward.
