Gale Moroni Jensen, our loving dad, passed away Friday, June 3, 2016, just days short of his 92nd birthday. He was born June 14, 1924, to Moroni and Dora (Bastian) Jensen in Gunnison, Utah.
He married the love of his life, Kay Smith, in the Salt Lake City Temple. They were happily married for 72 years.
Gale was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. After his service to his country, he attended and graduated from Utah State University.
He worked for the FHA until his retirement.
Gale loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed all outdoor activities with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Jensen, his 6 children, Douglas (LuAnn) Jensen, Peggy Jensen, Suzanne Jensen, Yvonne Cook, Anne Jensen, Linda (Darryl) Collins, 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
We will miss his wonderful sense of humor and his endless kindness.
Gale is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, and his grandson, Derek Jensen.
Funeral services will be held at Union Fort 2nd Ward, 7155 S. 540 E., Midvale, Utah, on Tuesday, June 7, at 11:00 a.m.
Friends may call Monday evening, June 6, from 6:00-7:30 p.m., and from 10:00-10:45 a.m. on Tuesday prior to the funeral. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.) in Sandy.
