Born July 3rd, 1967 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Carolyn Jean Whitaker Wunderlich and Donald Leon Wunderlich. John passed into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on Oct. 22, 2015. John was born the third of seven children, and was the second oldest son. He was preceded in death by his father Donald and his mother Carolyn, and his younger brother Jeremy. John is survived by Sherie Wunderlich Clark, Michael Don Wunderlich, David Brian Wunderlich, Mark Evan Wunderlich and Holly Marie Wunderlich Haymes.
John was born large in stature, and was always willing to lend a helping hand, including assisting his dad, as he worked on cars and other projects around the house. Big J loved to draw pictures of people. Every place he lived, pictures of his family and those around him adorned the doors, hallways and bulletin boards. John loved to tease people, but not in a way that made them feel bad. He was also the master of the "tall tale".
John was taken from this mortal life by the same disease that took his father, diabetes. From his family, we would like to tell each and every person that helped him on his journey "Thank You!". His health care providers, dialysis centers, nurses, social workers and CNA's that never gave up, are the reasons John lived for 48 years. We would also like to thank his special friends at Parkway Healthcare. John you are missed, but we know you and your spirit will continue to live. We are so happy you are no longer in pain, and are enjoying a wonderful reunion with Mom, Dad, Jeremy and other family members.
