Shirley Passed away at her home surrounded by family on March 16, 2016. She was born November 28, 1927, to Lehi and Marvel Clawson. She was married to Albert "Bud" Simpson, later they divorced. She married Rulon Clyde Ashworth Jr. in 1967 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Shirley was an active member of the LDS church and served faithfully.
She is survived by her three children and Clydes six children. Sons; Jerry (Dara) Simpson, Dennis (Becky) Simpson, Janet (Rich) Hayes and six step children; Gene (Karlene) Ashworth, Jim (Joni) Ashworth, Boyd (Patti) Ashworth, Colleen (John) McDonald, Jan (Robin) Keyworth, and Eileen (Steve) Romney.
Shirley and Clyde have many grandchildren and great grandchildren that they both loved dearly. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Clyde, her step son Paul, two grandsons, Shawn and Nelson and one granddaughter, Harmony.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 6-8:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd (10600 S) in Sandy. And also on Thursday from 10-10:45 am at the mortuary. A grave dedication will be held at 11:00 am at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
