George Hunt Thompson, 88, passed away January 2, 2014. He was born May 25, 1925 to Stephen and Gladys Thompson in Phoenix, Arizona.
He served in the US Navy during WWII. He served an LDS mission and attended BYU. He married Vera Jeffers March 18, 1949.
He is survived by his five children: Lynne Strickling, Ellen (Darrell) Anderson, David (Melanie), Julie Neve, and Jeff (Kay); 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, 4 siblings, his wife, and 1 grandson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 12 noon at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City,. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and 1 hour prior to services at the mortuary.
