Our husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Roy Clyde Davies (Grandpa Grape), age 86 returned home to his Heavenly Father April 27, 2017. He was born May 3, 1930 to Morgan J. and Lillian Davies in Morgan, Utah. He married his sweetheart Lucile Urry Davies August 17, 1950 and from that union he had four beautiful daughters, Judy Steadman-Jessup (Norman), Julie Monsen (Leo), Barbara Wood (Dennis) and Bonnie Dewey (David).
Dad served faithfully in the LDS Church and was a temple worker for many years at the Jordan River Temple. He was a master gardener and beekeeper and would spend every minute he could tending to his plants and bees.
He is survived by his wife, children, 12 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, all of whom he was very proud of.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 1, 2017 at 12:00 noon at the Jefferson Ward, 67 West Clay Park Drive, Murray with viewings on Sunday, April 30 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and on Monday morning from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. at the same location. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy.
