Joan B. Wesley

1922 ~ 2018

Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Joan B. Wesley, born in 1922, died February 9, 2018 in Sandy, UT. She was born to Harold and Hazel Brunsell in Sheridan, WY. She lived there all of her childhood and young adult life. She spent many happy summers at the cabin in Story, WY with her mom and dad reading and riding horses. She was crowned Miss Sheridan and reined over the Sheridan Days Rodeo.

She went off to Birmingham, AL to the University of Alabama for college. There she met a very handsome football player, Norm Wesley, the love of her life and fell in love at first sight. The rest is history. She married Norm August 26, 1942 in Sheridan, WY. She spent the first year of their marriage with him going base to base as he trained and prepared for Army service in the South Pacific. From that union five children and seven moves later she came back to Utah and has called it home for 18 years.

Her children would like to thank her care givers, Leah and Virginia; Intermountain Hospice, Bradley and Josie for their wonderful care of our mother. We couldn't have done it without all of you. In her 95 years she has made many friends and we want to thank them for all the calls and visits to check on her.
