Gerald Fontaine passed away peacefully on April 3, 2019, at the age of 80 in Murray, Utah. Gerald was born January 29, 1939 in St. Evariste, Quebec, Canada to Francois Fontaine and Clarisse Fontaine (Couture). Gerald went on to marry his love, Connie Fontaine in Upstate New York.
Gerald put his carpenter skills to use over the years in remodeling homes for himself and Connie to raise their family in, and to enjoy several special gatherings with family and friends. He also enjoyed helping his late wife Connie, with her many projects and interests over the years. Spending time with family and friends was treasured and provided him with much joy. He had an especially close relationship with Connie's twin sister Bonnie, and always enjoyed just sitting back and listening to the twins laugh and carry on.
Gerald is survived by his children Noel (Tonya) Fontaine, Glens Falls, NY; Tonya (Ronald) Hotmer, Salt Lake City, UT; his sister Huguette (Jean-Pierre) Delvaux, South Glens Falls, NY; his sister-in-law Laurette Fontaine, Amenia, NY; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Francois, his mother Clarisse, and his three brothers Laurier, Egide (Rose), and Yves (Dotty); and his nephew Jean-Claude (Debbie).
Services will be held at a later date in Newcomb, New York.
