William Roger Rich

1939 ~ 2020

Our loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, William Roger Rich ‚ "Bill", passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020, at the age of 80 after a 11-year battle with Dementia.

Bill was born April 23, 1939 in Seattle, Washington. He was raised on the Hood Canal in Seabeck, Washington, where he enjoyed fishing, clam digging and trying to give his mother, Unabelle, a heart attack by swimming across the canal as a young boy.

As a young man, he joined the Navy and completed several tours in the Vietnam war and retired as a Navy Seal Diver. Bill set an amazing example of work ethic and always worked very hard. Bill was a very spirited soul that made everyone he met feel comfortable and welcomed.

Bill enjoyed fishing, camping and all things outdoors. He was a devoted Catholic and took pride in being an active member of the Knights of Columbus. Most of all, he loved supporting his children and grandchildren. He was always there for them no matter what. Bill had a great sense of humor and tried to always live life to its fullest.

Bill is survived by his wife, Vivian, the love of his life for 51 years. His children: John Rich, Bill (Aida) Rich, Mary (David) Keane, Victoria Hatch, Doris (Danny) Velasquez, Grandchildren: Chaz, Ian, Colleen, Ashleigh, Kristan, Fiona, Damien, Dillon and Great Grandchildren: Landyn, Liam, Levi, Rowan, Aurora and Riot.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Unabelle Rich, and brothers, Jim and Frank Rich.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Bill has been and will continue to be loved by all of us!
