Clinton Race Peterson

1991 ~ 2015

Clinton Race Peterson, age 24, passed away on June 22nd, 2015 in Murray, Utah. He was born on May 6th, 1991 in Sandy, Utah and lived the majority of his life in West Jordan, Utah. His parents are Wesley Clint and Susan Lyn Peterson.

He graduated from Southpointe High School and shortly thereafter enlisted in the army in 2010. He was stationed in Fort Lewis, Washington for three years and toured in Afghanistan defending our country, where he advanced to the rank of Specialist. Race attended Salt Lake Community College, and worked for Allied Barton at L3 Communications as an Assistant Lead Officer in charge of overseeing the training of security guards. In his free time, Race thoroughly enjoyed playing guitar and creating music with his friends, who gave him a place in this world to freely express himself.

He is survived by his parents Wesley and Susan Peterson and his three younger brothers, Jared, Zachary and Trevor Peterson, all of whom refer to him as their hero. He will be loved and missed dearly from all who knew him—friends and family alike.

The viewing will be held Friday, June 26th from 6:00-8:00 pm for any that wish to offer their condolences. The funeral will take place Saturday, June 27th at 10:00 am with a brief viewing beforehand from 9:00-9:45 am. Both the viewing and the funeral services will be located at the LDS chapel at 8539 S. 2200 W., in West Jordan, UT. Internment at Larkin Sunset Gardens 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road (10600 S.), Sandy, UT.
