Joely Kay Paypath

1969 ~ 2016

Joely Kay Paypath, 47, passed away on Friday October 14th at her home in Sandy, Utah after several years of declining health.Joely was born March 14, 1969 to Brenda McCurdy Paypath and John A. Paypath in Salt Lake City, Utah.Following the passing of her mother she moved into the home of Marvin and Roylene Day where she spent the next 31 years surrounded in love with her five cousins and extended family.Joely attended Jordan Valley School and later South Valley School after she turned 18.JoelyLOVED School and all of the friendships she made there.It was a sad day when she had to leave at 22.She worked at South Valley Training Company for many years and we are grateful for all of their efforts in providing work and dignity to persons with disabilities.

Joely was feisty, funny and loving. She enjoyed playing with all of the children while they were young,then the cycle would repeat itself with the grandchildren.Joely was always young and innocent.Despite many challenges Joely was fairly independent until recent years when she required more care.The family would like to especially thank her Uncle, Don, who assisted with her care during this latter time.She will be missed very much.

Joely was preceded in death by her mother, grandparents John and Mary Thomas, and her uncle Marvin Day. She is survived by her brothers Michael and Jeffrey McCurdy, her aunt Roylene Thomas Day and uncle Don Thomas.She was raised with Jason (Amy) Day, Ashlie (Rich) Paul, Berkeley Day, Martin (Andressa) Day and Laura (Mark) Adams, along with many other extended family members.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday October 18, 2016 at the Salt Lake City Cemetery beginning at 2:30 PM. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.larkinmortuary.com.
