Michael Dennis Carrig born January 18, 1947 in Salt Lake City to Dennis and Betty Lou Carrig passed away from a heart attack on July 6, 2015.
After graduating from West High School in 1965 he served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. Mike worked as a computer systems analyst throughout the US and Canada where he was well respected by his peers. Married Joyce Nunley in July 1968 and later divorced.
Mike loved family, The Beatles, Christmas, and the Washington Redskins and attended their Super Bowl Victory game. An avid golfer until the ravages of RA took this pleasure away. He was proud of his Irish heritage. Mike was a kind and generous soul who will be deeply missed.
Mike is survived by his mother Betty Lou, siblings Pat (Bobby), Tim (Shauna), Lynn Munden (Bob), Stella Wordelman (Dennis), Shannon Harte (John) and many extended family. Preceded in death by father, Dennis Carrig and brother, David DeGooyer. Thanks to Angela Poll and her son Elijah for the love they gave to Mike.
Viewing at Larkin Mortuary 260 East South Temple, Saturday July 11, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Graveside services at Mt. Calvary Cemetery 275 U Street immediately following. In lieu of flowers donations can be made at Mt America Credit Union Michael Carrig Memorial Fund.
