Our mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away Dec. 21, 2015, in the arms of her family. She was born April 10, 1930, to Reuben and Jessie Baxter Johnson. Mom grew up in SLC, where she attended Granite High School and graduated in 1948.
In 1958 Mom married Allen L. Davis in Las Vegas, Nevada. They lived in SLC, Ogden and settled in Roy, Utah. Together they had 5 children—Colette, Scott, Miles, Trudy and Nicole. Mom's whole life was devoted to her children.
Mom's favorite color was purple, and her favorite season was spring. She loved to travel, sew, rubber stamp, shop, go to lunch with her girls and friends. She loved tap dancing, Frank Sinatra and the Utah Jazz but most of all loved being a grandma to her grandkids, Matt, MaCall, McCade, Aubrey, Ryan, Sawyer, Harrison, Hannah, Nicholas and Carissa.
Mom is survived by her children, grandchildren, sister Shanna Cunningham and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Richard and Cliff, sister Dorothy, her best friend and sister-in-law Jerry Fohl and her little dog Zack.
There will be a viewing Tuesday, Dec. 29, 10 am- 12 noon, at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, followed by a graveside service at 12:30 pm at Mt. Olivet cemetery, 1342 East 500 South. Condolences welcomed at www.larkinmortuary.com
