Fay S. Moss, loving mother and grandmother, passed away on the morning of November 23rd. She will be missed greatly by her children and grandchildren. Fay was born in Spokane, WA to her parents Andrew McKay Smith and Etha Fay Lind Smith. She was later adopted by her Aunt Marie and Uncle Orson Shulsen.
Fay graduated from Jordan High School and later the University of Utah. She married Gene F. Moss on July 14, 1949 in Salt Lake City. Two years later they were sealed in the L.D.S. Manti Temple. She and Gene lived in Salt Lake City where they raised their two children; Lori Glynn (Moss) Parkin and Gene F. Moss II.
Fay retired from the banking industry in 1994 after working as an officer for the owner of Commercial Security Bank, and as an assistant to the President and Chairman of Key Bank of Utah. Fay\s hobbies were; playing bridge, golf, board games, reading and walking.
Fay was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, where she faithfully served in various callings throughout her life.
She is survived by Lori (Randy) Parkin, Gene F. (Stacey) Moss II, her eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her husband Gene, her parents and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Forestview Ward: 1111 E. Charlton (2818 S.) SLC, UT 84106. Viewings will take place Tuesday from 6-8 pm at Larkin Sunset Lawn (2350 E. 1300 S. SLC, UT 84108) and one hour prior Wednesday at the ward. Interment at Bountiful City Cemetery: 2224 S. 200 W. Bountiful, UT 84010.
