Margaret Mary McPherron

1930 ~ 2015

Margaret Mary McCarren McPherron was born July 3, 1930 to John and Agnes McCarren in Ogden, UT. Preceded in death by her husband William D. McPherron. Survived by her 3 children, Kathy (Mike Creason), Shawn (Sally McPherron) and Dan (Stacy McPherron).

Margaret was a Sassy lass spending most of her adult life as a resident of Murray, Utah. She had very fond memories of time and summers spent on her Grandfather's farm in Pleasant View, Utah. Margaret also liked to tell stories of her youth. Her family moved to Tulsa to boost her father's jewelry business as other families were moving out of Oklahoma due to the "Great Depression." Her family finally settled in Murray.

Margaret enjoyed her family, cooking, traveling, boating and museums. Margaret was a wonderful and caring person who really enjoyed her Grandkids and Great Grandkids that she called Snickellfritz.

Margaret got to spend special time in the sun with one granddaughter shortly before her death. She also had a granddaughter hold her hand as she passed.

Margaret has many fine friends from Murray that lasted a lifetime.

Margaret and Bill enjoyed several great trips to the Canadian Rockies in their motor home. They also got to experience an exciting tour of China and Mexico upon retirement.

Margaret was very well read. She had an incredible knowledge tucked away. She enjoyed playing games with her family. When the family was introduced to Trivial Pursuit we all wanted to be on Margaret's team, as we all knew she had the answers.

Margaret and the entire McPherron family want to extend our thanks to Kathy for her tireless dedication to Margaret's care as her health declined.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday June 13, 2015 from 10:30-12:00 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, UT 84092.
