Francis (Frank) Leonard Goetz, 66, born May 31, 1949 to Julius F. and Mary C. Goetz in Hays, KS. He grew up and went to school in Hays, graduating from Thomas Moore Prep in 1967. He went in to the Navy, serving in Vietnam from 1968 ‚ 1973. He attended an Aeronautics Academy. He met his soulmate and love of his life, Donna Millikin in Colorado and married in Ft. Collins on April 17, 1992. Later moved to Rock Springs in 1999. Frank drove a truck over the road for close to 30 years, and retired from the trucking industry in 2013. He continued driving as a school bus driver and worked as a security guard. Frank loved his family, kids, grandkids and his pets. He enjoyed being outdoors, working in his yard, and relaxing on the front porch .
Survived by wife, Donna, son, David (Amy), daughters: Tawnya (Juan) Beavers, Veronica (Javier) Longoria, step-sons, Daniel Karnes and Jonathan (Linda) Karnes, sister, Mary Ann Chand, 17 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Preceded by his parents, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Sts Cyril Methodius Catholic Church, 633 Bridger Ave, Rock Springs, Wyoming with a Rosary service on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 6pm. also at Sts Cyril Methodius Catholic Church. Interment in Victoria, KS at a later date. A special thanks to the University of Utah ICU unit and the Palliative Care Team for their compassionate and professional care.
