Karen was the second of four daughters born to Joseph Delwin and Florence Ruth Green on January 16, 1943 in Salt Lake City. She married Edward Foster, the love of her life, on September 22, 1961 and settled down in Sandy, UT where they raised their three daughters who she loved and cherished.

Karen worked in the apparel department at K-mart in Murray, UT for over 30 years. She was a very dedicated employee with an outstanding work ethic. She was very well respected and loved. She and Ed had great adventures traveling to many places around the world. She also enjoyed camping with her family and going on fun traveling adventures with her closest friends. Karen was an excellent archer and belonged to the Datus Archery Club where she was often called "Cupcake". She enjoyed bowling and participated in several leagues with friends and family. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and treasured all of the special moments with them.

Later in life, she became active in the LDS church and received her temple endowments. She loved singing in the choir at church and stake conferences as well as serving in many callings until she was diagnosed with vascular dementia. Karen was blessed to have such a wonderful, loving husband who took care of her during every stage of this debilitating disease.
