Jeremiah Christopher Sullivan

1930 ~ 2016

Jeremiah Christopher Sullivan, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on August 19, 2016 at the age of 86. Dad will be forever missed and in our hearts.Jerry was born on March 26, 1930 in Waterbury, CT to Jeremiah Sullivan and Catherine (Stack) Sullivan. Upon H.S. Graduation, Jerry enlisted in the National Guard. He was stationed at Fort Lee, Virginia and was in charge of the medical dispensary on base.

Upon honorable discharge, Jerry moved back to CT and enrolled at the University of CT earning a degree in mechanical engineering. He retired at the age of 75 as head engineer at Braxton Manufacturing in Watertown, CTJerry was an avid reader and if he was sitting down, he was reading or learning something new.

In January 1950, Jerry attended a hometown dance and to use his words, \"I met the most beautiful girl in the world\" Margaret Mary Norris, also born on his birthday. Within a few months, they were engaged and onAugust 21stwere married at St Patrick\s Church. They were happily married for 65 years. Jerry and Margaret went on to have four children: Mary (Reginald) Allard; Geraldine (Richard) Samela; Deborah (James) Hebert and Brian Sullivan. They also have 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. In 2005, dad and mom moved to South Jordan and joined St. John The Baptist Church in Draper, Utah attending everySaturdaynight mass. He was a member of the Golden Eagles, Knights of Columbus and the Silver Slippers at South Jordan Recreation Fitness Center until this month.

Jerry is survived by a brother, Richard, and four children. His beloved wife Margaret, two brothers and a sister preceded him in death: John, William and Mary Bridget.

A viewing will be heldon Tuesdaynight,August 23rdfrom6-8pmat Larkin Mortuary Riverton (3688 West12600 South Riverton, Utah). The funeral will be held at11:30amonWednesday, August 24that St. John The Baptist Church (11800 South 300 East, Draper, Utah) preceded by a viewing at10:30am.
