Gayle Duffin Falck

1940 ~ 2017

Gayle Duffin Falck, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully in her daughter\s Massachusetts home on May 28, 2017.

Gayle was born on February 13, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the second of five daughters born to Owen and Blanche Elease Lawson Duffin.

Gayle was raised in Salt Lake City, where she studied violin, worked at her father\s candy store, and wore a purple coat. She attended East High School and received a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Utah.

Gayle\s great work in this life was to provide a home and refuge to her husband and six children. Her devotion to faith and family were richly rewarded in later years, as many came to her home to seek counsel and the blessing of the Lord.

Elegant and refined, Gayle bore the burdens of this life with bright resilience. She loved the Lord deeply and sought every opportunity to do His will and know of His ways. The Lord loved her in return, blessing her with a discerning spirit, reservoirs of charity, and radiant beauty. Gayle was truly a handmaiden of the Lord.

Gayle is survived by her children: Kristin McNeil (Greg); Carolyn Flitton (John); Robert Duffin Falck (Gwen); David Duffin Falck (Dawn); and Suzanne Giles (Joseph); 25 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Scott and husband R. Michael Falck, who she loved as a man of God.

Funeral services will beTuesday June 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.at the Holladay Eighth Ward Chapel, 5450 South Holladay Boulevard, Holladay, Utah. Friends may call onMonday June 5thfrom6:00-8:00 p.m.at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East and 1300 South, and from9:30 to 10:30prior to services at the Chapel. Interment, Holladay Memorial Park.
