Faye Hilton Shields died Saturday, May 16, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born February 7, 1921 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a daughter of Alfred W. and Lilly Kummer Hilton. She married Paul Shields June 15, 1942 in Salt Lake City.
Faye worked as a mother and homemaker until later in her life when she went to work for the SLC School District in the Child Accounting office. She retired from there after 17 years. She loved to be with her family and friends. She loved to cook for them and participate in various activities with them. Later in life she enjoyed the visits she received, and she really loved all the teddy bears she received on special occasions.
Faye is survived by a son, Larry (Bonnie) Shields; four grandchildren, Michael (Rachelle) Shields, Aaron (Tara) Shields, Jennifer (Kenneth) Kearsley and Laura (Reed) Mackley; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; brother, William Hilton; and sister, Margery Bell.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 1:00pm in the Rose Park 2nd Ward Chapel, 1153 West 800 North. A viewing will be held prior to the services at 11:00am. Interment will be at the Salt Lake City Cemetery following the funeral services. Funeral directors, Larkin Mortuary.
