DRAPER, UT - Mark Owen Jolley, 53, passed away into eternity on September 1, 2015 after a valiant fight against brain cancer. He was surrounded by his devoted family and passed in peace and comfort at his home. Mark was born in Washington D.C. on April 14, 1962 to J. Kent Jolley and Jill Leishman Jolley, the oldest son amongst five sisters and one brother. He was raised in Rexburg, Idaho where he attended Madison High School and spent his youth as a talented athlete and avid adventurer. He served an LDS mission in Mexico City, where he changed the lives of many through Jesus Christ, including his own. He attended both Ricks College and BYU, where he met his adoring and everlasting wife, Kellie Jo Blades. They were sealed for eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple on July 19, 1985. Mark and Kellie had four children, Megan (Fernando Calderoni), Evan, Dallin, Jaren, and one granddaughter, Sorella.
Mark's life is one marked by the tremendous effect he had upon all those he encountered, and the unbreakable bonds he formed with those he loved. Mark was undeniably hilarious and warm, and could always be found laughing or making others laugh. He was incredibly hard working and, from his childhood to his adult life, he always gave everything he had in all his endeavors, being intelligent, tireless, selfless, and a true leader. He worked as a head of sales and technology and was widely respected and revered as a reliable and innovative man. Above all, Mark was a disciple of Christ and bold man of God, imparting his wisdom to all the world. Eternally bound to his family, his spirit remains to love and bless us forever.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the LDS Stake Center, 10945 South 1700 East, Sandy, UT. A visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6-8 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) Sandy, UT and on Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the services at the church.
