Kimberly Ann Kempner Glover

1959 ~ 2014

Our beautiful, gentle Kim passed away on August 30, 2014.

We will remember and miss her happy spirit and wonderful wit and flair for comedy. She loved beautiful things; music of all kinds, literature and ballet. She had a creative mind and was an excellent writer. She wrote many beautiful poems and great comedy skits. She was a voracious reader and read everything from Shakespeare to Vogue magazine. She was a history buff and especially enjoyed English history. She also knew the history of most songs and the bands playing the songs.

She spent summers as a young girl on her grandparent's farm where she changed water lines and drove a swather. She worked with many cousins and had stories to share that were hilarious. She was there when Mt. St. Helen\s erupted and told us how her grandparents struggled through that disaster. She did anything that her grandparents asked of her to do on the farm. She loved and adored them. Her reunion with them will be more than special.

She graduated from Jordan High School where she was a member of the championship drill team. Kim loved working at Glover Nursery and made many friends from colleagues and customers. She thoroughly enjoyed doing landscape designs.

She married Rod Glover in May of 1989. They celebrated their 25th anniversary this year. She had one son that she allowed to be named Parley in honor of the heritage of the Glover family. When Kim married Rod, she also gained 3 young children to help him raise,Regan, Erin (David Carroll) and Ryan (Amanda Daniel) Glover. She has 4 grandchildren,Erin's son Ryan Haroldsen and David's 3 children Breahna, Tanner and Tyler Carroll. Kim is also survived by her mother Gwen Kempner, brothers Maurice (Carol), Joel (Val) and a sister Michelle. Preceded in death by her father Maurice Kempner and nephew Daniel.

There will be a visitation for friends and family on Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy. At Kim's request, a private burial will be at a later time. Online condolences welcomed at www.larkincares.com.
