Ken passed away on October 28th surrounded by family. He was born on July 2nd, 1931 in Salt Lake City to William Arthur and Harriett Markham. Ken was raised by Faye and Wilford Neilsen.
He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Ken worked as a miner and then a Superintendent for HOWA Construction for over 30 years. Married Joy Fausett in 1964 in Ely, NV and together they raised five children. He loved to spend time outdoors fishing, hunting, shooting and spending time with family. Enjoyed time with friends whether bowling in leagues or gambling.
Survived by his wife Joy; children Cindy (Steve) Castro, Michael, James (Von), Tim (Andrea); grandchildren and great- grandchildren; sister Betty (Pete) Heuser; along with nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his infant son Kenneth; daughter Kathleen; parents, brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 2nd at 2:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 South), Sandy. Friends are invited to greet the family during the viewing beginning at 12:30 PM. Interment to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
