Mae Christensen Dunford

1914 ~ 2014

"I was born on a wintry day, Dec. 28, 1914, in Richfield, Utah to the best parents one could ask for, John and Francetty Christensen, who taught me and my six brothers and sisters (Erma, Omar, Arlo, Dan, Laurel, Beth) the principles of life that would ensure happy, healthy and successful lives. My marriage to Stephen Love Dunford in the Salt Lake Temple assured me of his continued love in the life beyond. Our seven children brought to me the challenges and love that make life worth living -- each in his or her own way.

My hope is for my seven children, Larry (Janice Lyman), Craig (Mitzi Manson), Jayne (Steve Lovell), Kay (David Thomas ‚ deceased), Jim (Sharron McCune), Steven, Christopher, and my 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild to remember the good things they have learned from my example, and to forget the mistakes I made along the way, or learn from them.

The opportunities I have had to participate in church activities and to associate with members have filled many hours that would have been lonely."

Mae died peacefully at Cottonwood Creek Assisted Living on July 10, 2014 of causes incident to age. She was a great example to us. She is anxiously joining her husband who has been waiting for her for 45 years.

We would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff at Millcreek Hospice and Cottonwood Creek, for all their efforts in caring for our Mother.
