Bret Wade Horsley

1958 ~ 2018

Our brother, father, son, best friend and loved one, Bret Wade Horsley, 59, of Holladay Utah passed away after a long battle with cancer. With his family close by his side on Sunday Apr 22, 2018, he was finally at peace. He is preceded in death by father Del Horsley and grandparents Henry and Dorthea Orullian and Earl and Alta Horsley. He is survived by his wonderful son Wade Horsley, his mother Janice Horsley and his siblings Rodney Horsley and Teresa Nelson.

Bret was a simple man who loved his family dearly, his hobbies, his garden and his animals. He was an avid collector and loved tinkering on anything especially his T-Bird. Bret put others needs before his own, he was thoughtful and always had the perfect gift.

In this time of grieving, his family would like us all to remember Bret as a courageous man who fought for life till the end; whose struggles in this world were not in vain as it reminds us all how precious life is and the time we have with each other should be a time to cherish each other and celebrate our love for each other.

A celebration of life will be held at the home of his mother Janice (4624 South Wallace Lane) onSunday May 6, 2018 from 4pm till 7pm.

In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the Huntsman Cancer Institute, who's efforts were instrumental in prolonging his life.

Weep Not For Me, by Unknown

Weep not for me though I have gone

Into that gentle night

Grieve if you will, but not for long

Upon my soul's sweet fight

I am at peace, my soul's at rest

There is no need for tears

For with your love I was so blessed

For all those many years

There is no pain, I suffer not

The fear is now all gone

Put now these things out of your thoughts

In your memory I live on

Remember not my fight for breath

Remember not the strife

Please do not dwell upon my death

But celebrate my life

Guestbook/Condolences

Teresa,
I am so sorry to hear about your brother. He was always very kind to me. Please contact me, I have been trying to track you down just to say howdy. We lost contact with each other way to long ago. Please let me know how you are.
