Libertia \"Bert\" F. Moore

1935 ~ 2017

Libertia "Bert" F. Moore, 82, of Sandy, Utah would like to let you know that her work here is done. On Thursday September 21, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. she accepted a promotion, for her next mission from which she will not be returning. After a valiant battle with cancer over the last decade and successfully beating it twice, she decided that this next opportunity was one that could not be refused. This project came with a wealth of benefits: job security, unlimited slot machines, no hard hats, gourmet kitchen and a long-awaited reunion with friends, family and her husband, Clyde Moore, the love of her life. Bert was never the type of person to accept something she couldn't handle and she could handle anything.

Born and raised in Fort Smith Arkansas, the daughter of John and Lucille Knox. She enjoyed her many years of service working at Salt Lake County and the District Attorney's office. She was very well respected by all that knew her. Being at home was just not in her nature, because of that she was called out of retirement several times to complete projects that could not be done without her. Her most recent undertaking had her wearing a hard hat, steel toed boots and working at Kennecott Copper at the young age of 81.

She was a dedicated Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother "Grams". She taught three generations of family their first words, helped them take their first steps, fed them their first solid food and loved them unconditionally. She was at every Football game, birthday party, graduation, weddings, and births of grandkids and great grand kids.

Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, gambling, gardening and cooking until her heart's content. She left detailed instructions for her children and grandchildren to celebrate her mission here, which has now been completed. Low adherence to these instructions will not be tolerated.

She leaves behind her Sister Earlene "Lena" McCallister, Pamela (David) Anderson; daughter, Jacque Bruening; daughter, Clyde Moore (Gina Rea) and children Jeff and Skyler; son, Grandkids, Jeremy Anderson (Jeff Meyers), Bryan Anderson , Bud (Celeste) Bruening and their children Dierks and Trace; Cody (Cassie) Bruening and their son Jace; Josh (Kiley) Bruening and their children Jax and Kade

We want to let her know that she did a great job and wish her a safe journey. We will remember her smile, her laughter, her sarcasm, her warmth, her energy, her love for life, family and friends and most of all her cooking. She worked very hard all her life, up until the very end. She made a difference in the lives of so many. We invite you to join us and celebrate together.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, UT. A visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.

Special thanks to Jonathan Whisenant and his entire staff at the Huntsman Cancer Institute for all their hard work and dedication over the last several years. Thanks to Rachel at Hearts for Hospice for her loving care over the last few weeks.

Love ya Grams!!
