F. Grant Cook

1931 ~ 2016

Grant Cook died Saturday, April 16, 2016 at his home of heart disease. He was born January 14, 1931 in Ogden, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis H. Cook and Catherine Lucretia Andersen Cook, Ellen Rita Cook (sister), Heath Cook (grandson), Ashley Chlarson (grand-daughter) and June Butler Cook (wife). He is survived by siblings, Gaye White (Bruce), Norton J. Cook (Marie), Lynn R. Cook (Carol Ann), Kelley A. Cook (Susan) and Carol Craghead Cook (Divorced wife). From that union, Carol and Grant had 4 children; Judy Lin Cook Chlarson (Ted), Jerry Cook (Shannon), Janice Elizabeth Cook Richardson (Jerry), Andrew Evans Cook (Cynthia); 19 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.

Grant grew up on a Dairy farm in Willard, Utah, graduated from Box Elder High school in Brigham City, Utah, and attended Utah State Utah, in Logan, Utah. He was employed by Mt. Fuel Supply for 14 years; the remainder of his life he was self-employed. He loved working outdoors and operating heavy equipment. He learned from his parents the value of hard work, never to be idle and pasted that quality onto his posterity.
