Sorry, Bart's not home, he's gone fishing!
Bart passed away on December 27, 2014 in Salt Lake City, UT. He was born on October 14, 1937 in Hillegenberg, Rotterdam, Holland to Marius Wilhelm and Margarethe Maria Eillebrecht VanHuizen. He married his love, Barbara Ann Bland on May 6, 1959 and they had 4 wonderful children. They were married 55 Ω years.
He served in the US Army from 1959 ‚ 1962. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, cooking and traveling with family and friends. He kept everyone in stitches with his jokes. He enjoyed working at Boise Cascade and retired after 26 years.
Bart is survived by his wife, children Cyndi (Kent), John (T.J.), Dave (Char) and Danielle (Scott), 14 grandchildren Shaune (Aupera), Amber (Tyler), Marissa (Kevin), Annalina, Crystal, Bill, April (Dave), Jaclyn, Dave Jr. (Rebecca), Joshua, Toni, Erika, Dallas (Jessica) and Preston, 10 great grandchildren Shalyn, Lucas, Raylin, Michelle, Bryan, Dominic, Cash, Thaleia, little Casper and 3 in the oven, siblings Elly, Willy, Catherine (Mike) and Betty and sister-in-law Barbara. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Elisabeth, brothers Marius and Ed and his grandson Rayden.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy. A visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8pm and from 1:30-2:30pm prior to the services. Online condolences welcomed at www.larkincares.com.
