Beatrice Lundberg Yauney

1945 ~ 2016

Beatrice "Trish" Lundberg Yauney, age 71, passed away November 2, 2016. She was born in Vernal, Utah on March 3, 1945 to David Otto Lundberg and Mildred Beatrice Johnson.

Trish's greatest passion was her family, followed by her desire to serve those around her. After the passing of her husband, she devoted the rest of her life to supporting her children in all their endeavors. She was a great proponent of higher education; each child attended university resulting in more than 14 advanced degrees from her children alone, let alone their spouses and any grandchildren. As her children completed their education, she returned to university and completed her bachelors and master's degrees in Social Work.

Trish took her obligations to raise children who would be ready for life as an adult seriously. All four of her sons and two of her daughters served full and honorable missions.

Trish loved being active in her community. She was committed to her participation in PTA, 4-H, and politics. Later in life, she enjoyed helping to care for individuals as they or their parents experienced end of life care.

Trish loved to bake, and all of her grandkids have spent hours upon hours with her as she passed on her love for crafting, and her love for these kids.

Trish has always had a strong belief about our life after this one. She leaves behind so many who have been impacted by her life. We take solace that she is now with family and friends beyond the veil and we are blessed for how she touched our lives.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Robert George Yauney, brothers; Anthony Boyd Lundberg, Terry Lee Lundberg, Francis Lundberg and Franklin Lundberg.

Survivors include her children; Richard "Rick" (Allison) Yauney, Duff (Jeannette) Yauney, Theresa (Jonathon) Grimes, Celia (Steven) Jones, Russell (Amanda) Yauney and Sharon (Dillon) Pitchforth, stepchildren; Robert "Bill" (Barbara) Yauney and Barbara (Robert) Knowlden, brother; David Lundberg, sisters; Bernice White, Linda Lundberg and Marie Burkman, and 34 grandchildren.

Viewings will be held on Friday evening from 6-8:00pm at the church and on Saturday from 10-10:45am at the church. Burial will follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Sandy.
