On June 5th, 2018, at age 72, Joane Walton Flores, our beloved wife, mother, sister and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones in Herriman, Utah.
Joane's life began in March, 1946 in Salt Lake City Utah. Born to parents Wayne C. Walton and Dorothy Mildred Larsen Walton. She graduated from Granger High School in 1964. Joane began working for United Airlines as a Flight Attendant in 1966, which lead her to San Francisco, California. There she met the love of her life, Richard Flores. Joane and Richard were married in June 19,1971 and made their life in Auburn, Ca. Their son, Bryan Flores, was born in 1977, and their daughter, Leisha Flores, was born in 1980.
Joane was preceded in death by her husband Richard Flores. Joane is survived by her son, Bryan Flores; daughter, Leisha Flores (grandchildren Naiya and Kailan Baez Flores); step-daughter Joanna Flores (grandchildren Ben and Ava Nusbaum); Siblings; Darrel Jay Walton (brother), Richard C. Walton (brother), Judy L. Walton Nielsen (sister), Jeane Walton Sloan(twin-sister), Jackie Walton (sister), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Joane was a devoted mother, wife, and friend to many. Joane enjoyed gardening, riding horses, skiing, playing the piano, traveling, and taking care of her family and grandchildren.
The love she gave was a reflection of the gracious, loyal, and funny soul that she was. The joy she shared will be forever missed, and the memories never forgotten.

A graveside service will be held on July 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah. Family and friends are invited to visit with one another from 12:00 ‚ 1:50 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary.
A Celebration of Life will also be held at 5:00 p.m. on August 18, 2018 at the Auburn Elks Lodge, 195 Pine Street, Auburn, California.
