Carl A. Timmerman Jr.

1957 ~ 2014

Our loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle, Carl Adolph Timmerman, Jr., age 56, passed away on March 13, 2014. Carl was born on September 5, 1957, to Carl (Bud) and Edda Rae Timmerman. He married Tammy Jean Dennison on September 20, 1986. With this union, he was the proud father of Kimberly Jean and Sean Carl Timmerman. Carl attended Kearns High School and was an Army Special Forces Ranger veteran.

Carl loved his country and was very proud to serve for his country. Carl worked at the Tooele Army Depot, Special Forces Training Center and at Riverton Motors Hyundai/Mitsubishi. He cherished moments that involved any family activity he could share with his wife, children, extended family and friends. He shared his love of travel with his family in which many opportunities were taken. Carl loved history. He enjoyed being a guest in schools to share his knowledge of history. He was associated with the Western Military History Association in which he attended many festivals, rendezvous, museums, flag ceremonies, Boy Scouts and other events regarding history.

He was a great friend to many and a wonderful example to those under his influence. He will be greatly missed.

Carl is survived by his wife, Tammy; his children Kimberly and Sean; his parents, Carl and Edda Rae (St. George); his sister and brother-in-law, Beth (Elizabeth) and Russell Kofoed (Centerville, Ohio); his mother-in-law, Velva Dennison; brother and sister-in-law, Myron and Janice Dennison; Sister-in-law, Diane Dennison and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 11 AM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South in Sandy, with viewings Tuesday 6-8 PM and Wednesday 9:30 to 10:45 AM, with interment to follow. Online condolences at www.larkincares.com.
