Mick crossed his final finish line on January 26, 2019 surrounded by loved ones at home. He was born August 14, 1942 in Salt Lake City, UT to Theodore R. and Margaret Ann McPhee.
Mick graduated from West High in 1960, honorably served in the US Army, and then attended BYU. He retired from Kennecott and was a dedicated bus driver for Granite School District. Mick's passion for speed involved Sprint Cars, motorcycles and life. He was a longtime member of the SLVRA where he developed many life-long friendships. Mick was a pool and card shark and never turned down an arm wrestling match. He was an avid dog lover.
Survived by his brother Gary; son Mark; Rick, Alisha and Todd; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two former wives, and many friends and loved ones. Preceded in death by his parents; stepfather John Lamper; and brother Ted.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 31st at 12:00 PM at Glenmoor 2nd Ward, 9455 South 4800 West, South Jordan, with a viewing from 10:00 to 11:45 AM. Interment to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.), Sandy.
