Barbara Dianne Grover Johnson

1942 ~ 2015

Dianne Johnson passed away peacefully on December, 30, 2015 after many years battling congestive heart failure. She was born in Concord, California, May 26, 1942, to Jesse Wayne Grover and Loretta Maria Bott.

After World War II, her family moved to Ogden, Utah and Butte, Montana before moving to Salt Lake City in 1949.

She and her siblings shared years of fun, imaginative, outdoor play, with many friends and cousins. They traveled often to family gatherings and celebrations in Garland, and Brigham City. Her families\ yearly vacation was camping at Star Valley, Wyoming.

Dianne was a graduate of Granger High School, class of 1960. She enjoyed many activities and close friendships. After High School she worked as a secretary for Granite School District.

In 1969, she met and married the love of her life, Lynn Johnson. They raised five beautiful children together. They just recently celebrated 46 years of marriage.

She was the epitome of a loving wife and mother, and an excellent cook and seamstress. She loved travelling, camping and boating with her family, and along with Lynn, created a treasure of many long lasting memories with their children.

She was completely selfless, living to bless the lives of her children, family, neighbors and friends around her. She had a kind, sweet and gentle nature and was loved by many. Her heart was of gold, and very tender, and she had a very witty sense of humor.

Dianne had an amazing talent for sewing and quilting. She could sew anything and loved making clothes for family and \"jammies\" for all the grandkids. She loved to make pieced quilts and enjoyed attending her Clothesline Club. She loved to cross-stitch and to knit. She made countless keepsakes.

She was a faithful member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings and capacities and had a strong testimony of her Savior, Jesus Christ. She attended many institute classes to further her testimony of the gospel, which was a tremendous joy to her. She tithed her time and talent by making dresses and clothes, baby hats and booties, hygiene kits, and blankets for the Humanitarian Organization of the church for many years. She instilled this generous nature in all her children. Her hands and heart were never idle and she enjoyed every minute of the many hours she spent on projects.

Along with her children, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved to be able to spend time with them and to support them. Each felt loved and adored by her.
