Mack returned to his heavenly home and was reunited with family after a long and courageous battle with his health. He was born May 27th, 1942 in Altonah, Utah to Gerald and Lucy Jacobson. He married Karen Lund in November of 1962, together they had four sons.
After 35 years he retired from the Iron Workers Union. In this trade, he knew the importance of creating strong bonds. This was carried over and applied to his home, and family as well. Mack enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with his family outdoors, welding and creating metal yard art for family and friends. He loved the Jazz and was a season ticket holder for over 30 years.
Survived by his children Ken (Jamie), Larry (Shelli), Wayne (Jodi), Brian (Jamie); 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and sister Jane (Gary) Hadden. Preceded in death by his wife Karen, great-grandson Tegan; parents and brother Ferril.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 31st from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd., (10600 S.), Sandy. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 1st at 12:00 PM at the Crescent 19th Ward, 1050 East 10600 South, Sandy, with a viewing from 11:00 to 11:45 AM. Interment to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
