Raona Marie Evans Hilton, 91, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017. Raona was born November 3, 1925 in Salt Lake City Utah. She was the first born to Emily Marie Lewis Evans and Raymond Leslie Evans, a noted Utah architect. She graduated from The University of Utah in Home Economics and Textiles. During this time she also served as President of the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority.
While in first grade, at Uinta Elementary School, she met LaMar B Hilton. In the sixth grade he gave her a box of cherry chocolates on Valentine's Day. They later married in the Salt Lake Temple on September 18th, 1947.
Raona loved her family dearly, tending many of her grandkids throughout her life. She also loved being the wife of a Dentist. Her bookkeeping skills came in handy to help with his practice. Mom loved classical music, reading, fine arts, knitting, going to movies, volunteering at numerous places, helping people, serving in a variety of church callings, and raising her five children.
She is survived by 3 children: Mike (Loraine) Hilton, Peggy (Kevin) Sevy, and Dennis (Angi) Hilton, grandchildren: Mark (Lacie), Lisa, Al, Riley (Evelyn), Tiffany, Brett, Adrianne, Jenny, Sara Jane (Blake), Ranie, Matt (Lauren), Sadie, Emma, and Libby. Great grandchildren: Stacy (Julio), Evelyn, Joanne (Rocky), Celia (Tyson), Kaylee, Cortland, Tristin, Ross, Harley Beth, Jake and Austin. Great great grandchildren: Adrius, Julian, Lillian, Arian.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. LaMar Hilton, son Raymond Hilton, daughter Barbara (Bob) Barwick, Sister Margaret (Richard) Fiedler.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 E. 1300 South Salt Lake City, UT. Viewings will be held 30 minutes prior to services. Interment Larkin Sunset Lawn.
