Vivian Fay Carlsen

1921 ~ 2018

Vivian Carlsen passed away April 12, 2018. She was born September 29, 1921 to William and Dagmar Johnson in Palmyra, Utah. Vivian was the tenth of twelve children. Her father referred to her lovingly as his tithing child.

She attended her first three years of school in Palmyra and was later taken by bus to Spanish Fork. She fondly remembered her school bus driver, Arlie Stewart. Vivian was blessed with a beautiful soprano singing voice. She was a valued member of the "Lieurance Club" under the direction of F.J. Faux and accompanied by Afton Brockbank.

Vivian married and later divorced Earl Christopherson in Spanish Fork. She moved to Salt Lake City and married William Chamberlain. He passed away in 1990. She then met and married Edward Carlsen. He passed away in 1997. She worked for Vogue Cleaners for many years. She enjoyed bowling every Thursday with the 49ers Club.

Vivian was preceded in death by her husband Willian Chamberlain, her husband Edward Carlsen, her eleven siblings and her son Jay. She is survived by three grandchildren, Michael (Susan), Matthew, Marchion and eight Great Grandchildren Shelby(Bronson), Rylie, Katie, Makayla, Saydie, Jacob, Ellie and Jenny.

Vivian had numerous nieces and nephews all of whom she adored.

A graveside service will be held at Spanish Fork cemetery on Saturday April 21, 2018 at 12 Noon.
