Beverly Jane Alvord Richards, 90, passed away at her home in Salt Lake City on 7 April 2018. She was born 4 December 1927 to Harrald Stevens and Blanche Marie Moore Alvord in Idaho Falls, Idaho. One brother, Stevens Moore Alvord, predeceased her.
Beverly married Preston D. Richards, Jr. (deceased), 1 August 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had four children: Preston Stevens, Cathy Ann (David) Purdie, Jana Marie (Per-Erik) Johansen and Ronald Alvord (deceased), three granddaughters: Analise Noell (Dan) Jenson, Lehi, UT; Caitlin Marie (Randy) Logan, Mesa, AZ; Catrine (Josh) Clement, Provo, UT. and five great grandchildren: Tyler, Sophia, Hudson, Sawyer and Gemma.
At Beverly's request, a graveside service will be held on Saturday, 14 April 2018, at 1:00 p.m. in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Family and friends can gather that same day before the burial from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple.
