Carma Sue Johnson Wells passed away December 21, 2014, in Sandy, Utah. She was born in Murray, Utah May 9, 1933 to Floyd Henry Johnson and Beth Louise Martin Johnson. She attended Jordan High School and the University of Utah, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in nursing. After graduation, Sue married Kenneth Robert Wells on June 10, 1955 in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Sue worked as a public health nurse, and after having her family, she continued to volunteer her nursing services during the many years she maintained her license as a registered nurse.
Sue was a loving, devoted wife and mother. She was cheerful, optimistic, and an exceptionally kind person. She had many friends, was always pleasant to be around and encouraging of others. She will always be remembered for her unwavering loyalty, resilience and her loving nature. Sue was a fabulous cook and gardener. She enjoyed reading, music and bowling. She played the piano and the cello, and spent countless hours ensuring that her children had exposure to a multitude of experiences and activities.
Sue is survived by her four children, Kenneth Sam (Cecilia) Wells, Douglas Victor Wells, John Bret (Tara) Wells, and Sally Ann (James) Burns, as well as 6 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Sue is preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth Robert Wells, as well as her parents, sister Charlynn and brother Tony.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the many healthcare providers and caregivers that have provided compassionate service for Sue and assistance to the family over the years.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014, 11:00 a.m., at Larking Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South)≠. Friends and family may express their condolences beginning 1 hour prior to the service.
