Ferris Jones Keller passed away due to complications from Alzheimer's. He was born May 15, 1935 in Salt Lake City to Edward and Millie Grace Jones Keller. Ferris grew up on a farm in Millcreek. He graduated from Granite High School and competed in body building where he took 4th place in Mr. Universe Utah. He enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Alaska. He learned metal working and competed with the Army Ski Team. The competitions allowed him to travel to many places. Upon his return, he went to work for Joe Lamb doing landscaping, building swimming pools and club houses. In 1963, Ferris started his own commercial construction business. He was hard working, talented and had a deep concern for getting work done with the highest degree of quality. Ferris had a charismatic and a no nonsense, get it done personality that people liked.
Ferris was married to Patricia Larsen for 22 years and had 5 children together. They later divorced. Ferris was very proud of his kids and loved them all very much.
In 1985, Ferris married Awleen Willey and for the last 33 years have enjoyed each other's company. They liked to travel and see new places and built their dream home together. Awleen and Ferris made each other very happy.
Ferris was brilliant at anything he put his mind to. He built five of his own houses and was known for his well landscaped and immaculate yards. He loved animals and enjoyed gardening.
Our husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa and friend, will be truly missed. He has taught us well, been a great example and left many memories. We will forever cherish those moments and practice the strong values he imparted to us.
Ferris leaves behind his wife Awleen, children Clay (Kelly) Keller, Jeff (Michelle) Keller, Chris Keller, Michelle (Shad) Vider and Nicole Keller, 2 stepchildren Cheryl (Tad) Dowell and Brad Willey, 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

There will be a Celebration of Ferris J. Keller's life on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Le Jardin, 1910 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah.
