Joseph Noel Linford, 95, passed away peacefully on Nov. 21, 2013. He was born on December 19, 1917 to George Christian and Alice Peterson Linford in St. Charles, Idaho, and was the fourth of seven children. He was sealed to Sylvia Silverman in the Logan Temple on May 31, 1956. They had four children: Sandra, Cheryl, Harris, and John.
Dad will always be remembered for his unconditional love, patience, sense of humor, and faith. Without question, the things that were most important in life to him were God and family. He loved meeting and conversing with people of all backgrounds and had a way of making people feel loved and appreciated. Hobbies and interests included following his favorite sports teams, the Utah State Aggies and the Utah Jazz, as well as discussing the Civil War. In the Sandy Park Ward, he was the Gospel Doctrine class president for more than 30 years, welcoming the class warmly.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the Sandy Central Stake Center, 1050 East Galena Drive, Sandy, Utah. A viewing will be held onMonday, November 25th, at the Stake Center. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South).
