Our beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and dear friend, June Ungerman passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 in Clearfield, UT. The daughter of William Horace and Marian Hutchins Kemp Hicks, June was born on July 16, 1940 in Waltham, Massachusetts.
While raising six children in Farmington, Utah, June participated in the production of theatre and music. She enjoyed playing the violin and piano. She passed along her love of music, entertainment, and literature to her children. In 1978 June was the Primary President during the Centennial Celebration of the LDS Church's First Primary at the original Farmington 1st Ward. She was also the Farmington Stake Primary President 1982-84. June worked for the US Congressmen Hansen Campaign. Later she worked at Associated Food Stores, Inc. as an Executive Secretary. She graduated with an AAS Degree from LDS Business College and a BS Degree from the University of Phoenix. In her retirement years, June fulfilled her dream when she and her sweetheart served a LDS mission in Birmingham, AL.
June is survived by her 6 children, 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and numerous step children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and husband Reid Grant Ungerman.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Orchard 7th Ward, 3599 Orchard Drive, Bountiful, UT. Viewings will be held on Monday night from 6-8 p.m. and also on Tuesday from 9:00 ‚ 9:45 a.m. at the Ward prior to services. Interment will be held at the Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East Orem, UT.
