Douglas Melvin Rynearson

1955 ~ 2018

My dear father, Douglas Melvin Rynearson, 63, lost the fight of his life and completed his mortal journey on March 3, 2018, surrounded by his loved ones. He understood the importance of family and was a positive soul who would do anything for anyone. He was born January 4, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Thomas Rynearson Jr. and Darlene Robison-Blake.

Doug was an Electrician by trade from a very young age. He lived in St. George, Utah until January 2017, when his daughter moved him back to Salt Lake to help care for him. He was heavily involved in the fellowship of N.A. It was his second family. He enjoyed the wind in his face while riding his Harley until an accident prevented him from riding any longer. He also loved spending time with his daughters. He enjoyed the outdoors and putzing around on his computer or watching a good movie.

Doug is survived by his daughters, Marnie Rynearson-Alvarenga (Moises), Elisha Johns (David), Angela Rynearson (Benji), and Melisa Mulvey (Brett), along with his nine grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his fiancé, Cynthia Grimmitt and is proceeded by his siblings, Greg (Marci), Cheryl, and Shauna (Dave).

Instead of a funeral and being displayed for the world to see, Dad wanted a Celebration of Life and to be cremated. The celebration will be held at the LDS Meetinghouse on67 West Clay Park Drive, Murray Utah 84107, onMarch 31, 2018 from 4:00-5:30pm.Please come with stories to share. No need to dress up because he wanted it to be casual.
