Larry Thomas Jackson

1937 ~ 2016

Larry Thomas Jackson passed away the morning of March 2, 2016 at his home in Sandy, Utah. He had been diagnosed with terminal cancer a month before his passing. Larry was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Carl Thomas Jackson and Josephine Leah Stuart. He was their only child. During WWII Larry moved with his family to Pasadena California where he grew up. He graduated from Burbank High School. Larry served in the Army and was stationed in Turkey. He married the love of his life, Delois June Henthorn on July 26th, 1959 in Sylmar, California. He worked for Lockheed Martin as a mechanic. In 1976 they moved the family to Sandy, Utah where he continued to live until his passing. He worked for National Lead and Eimco before retiring. Larry loved the outdoors, cars, electronics, dune buggies and his cat Gracie. He leaves behind many dear friends and neighbors.

Larry is survived by his daughter L. Diane (Charlie) Smith and son Russell Jay (Miranda) Jackson; grandchildren: Trevor (Jenny) Smith, Samuel (Tiffany) Smith, Jacob Smith, Parker Smith, Isabel Jackson, Arikka Jackson, and Tyler (Cortney) Christensen and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Delois and his son Stephen Bradley Jackson.
