Diana Lynn Bodell Bagley

1942 ~ 2017

Diana Lynn Bodell Bagley, 75, the artist, musician, poet, and teacher peacefully passed on Sunday, November 5, 2017.

Diana was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended the University of Utah and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in music. She married David Bagley, the love of her life, in the Salt Lake Temple. They have lived in Utah, California, and New Mexico, raising six amazing children together. Diana was a patient, strong, and fun-loving teacher. She retired from teaching to serve as a magnificent Matriarch and fervently spoil her twenty grandchildren. She was a passionate masterful painter of landscapes using watercolors. She served a mission for the LDS church in the music department and served teaching others to read through the Deseret Industries reading program. She also valiantly served in the Timpanogos Temple and willingly held many other callings in the church.

Diana enjoyed receiving flowers from her husband which he would lovingly cut from his garden. She adored each of her children and grandchildren and told each one of them they were her favorite. She had a way with words and composed several poems describing the beauty and love our Heavenly Father has shared with us. Her unwavering testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ was held as a daily duty, sharing it not only in words, but by being a faithful living example to all of us.

The joy that we all felt around her will be missed.

The beauty she brought into the world will be missed.

The love she had for us will be missed.

Diana will greatly be missed by all.

Survived by her husband David LeRoy Bagley; her six children Todd (Michelle) Bagley, Tyler (Julie) Bagley, Chris (Lynette) Bagley, Lori (James) Bagley Burt, Candice (Jason) Bagley Woolley, Brandon (Tasha) Bagley; her twenty grandchildren Emilee (Nathan), Spencer, Samantha, Sarah, Bennett, Alyssa, Amanda, Daniel, Lauren, Alex, Carter, Topanga, Olivia, Benjamin, Peyton, Gavin, Elli, Edward, Khloe, and Kennedy.
