Constance Elizabeth Patton Zarbock

1951 ~ 2015

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Connie Patton Zarbock on Friday, August 14, 2015.

Connie was an exceptionally loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who brought joy and happiness to everyone in her life. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a deep and faithful testimony in the gospel of Jesus Christ. She had the opportunity to serve in many leadership callings and is best known for her choirs, roadshows and musicals. She was an incredible example of "Standing for Truth and Righteousness" and her generosity was unmatched.

She was born in Charleston, West Virginia on October 23, 1951 to Donald and Barbara Patton, the second of four children. She had a very close relationship with her older brother Donnie through childhood in Rocky River, Ohio and at Ricks College. She had a beautiful singing voice. She loved to perform and was fortunate to travel though Europe with the BYU Young Ambassadors.

She married Michael Zarbock on August 7, 1974 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised 5 wonderful children and she was the proud grandmother to 12 grandchildren, 8 boys and 4 girls, whom she loved and cared for with extraordinary diligence and thoughtfulness. She taught her family the "Zarbock way", which carried a high standard, an unwavering testimony and the necessity of treating others with kindness. She loved to travel with her devoted husband Michael, and together they saw the world.

To know Connie was to have a wonderful friend and a delicious meal. She was always looking for an opportunity to celebrate life. She was an excellent cook and caterer and loved to plan and throw amazing parties. She always had a plan and it was always first class. She made every event a special event, and when she was asked to bring a dessert, she would inevitably bring two (or more). She made everyone feel important, especially her grandchildren and celebrated them often.

As we say goodbye to our beautiful, sweet Connie, we know that she has arrived safely in our Savior's open arms. The heavens are rejoicing, knowing there are parties for her to plan, mansions to decorate, and the heavenly choir is most excited to have her incredible voice.

Connie is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Patton, and is survived by her Father, Donald Ray Patton, Husband, Michael, Children, Molly, Zak (Tiffany), Betsy (John), Katie (Jaden), Mike (CeCelia) and 12 grandchildren, Dallin, Braxton, Carson, Dawson, Boston, Brody, Ellie, Bowman, Easton, Maddie, Ruby and Charlotte. She is also survived by her siblings Donald N. Patton (Cindy), David Patton (Wendy) and Daniel Patton (Nykola).
